State Treasurer's Office

Secretary of State's Office

Is this an antiquated office?

Can you name an organization in which the Treasurer is not responsible for the money of said organization?
Here in Wisconsin the Legislature took the awkward step of removing the duties related to the treasury from the State Treasurer -- a person that the voters choose.
Now the tax dollars you send to the state and which the state receives from other sources are handled by an organization that you the voter/taxpayer do not elect - The Department of Revenue!! And currently there is a bill being prepared to make this permanent.

Our purpose here is to return the treasury to an elected Treasurer.

Our current Treasurer boasts how he will save the taxpayers $750,000 over the next two (2) years but ignores the fact that the Department of Revenue (DoR) plans to spend $45,000,000 more in that same 2 years. We would have to say that our State Treasurer has failed the taxpayers by not demanding a return of the DoR to his domain.

Who runs your elections?

Every county except Milwaukee elects its chief election officer otherwise known as your county clerk. This partisan office ensures that elections are fair and handled with the best care.
So who handles our elections at the state level?
Would you believe an un-elected body that has not one (1) but three (3) people earning over $100,000 in salary and a body that has seen their budget increase 28% since 2011?
The Government Accountability Board (GAB) has been Un-accountable to the taxpayers and the voters of this state for too long.

We must return the elections process to a State-wide elected officer (the Secretary of State) as it was in Wisconsin for over 120 years!

The GAB being brought to heal under the Secretary of State is just the beginning but it is by far the most important thing to be done in the State of Wisconsin.

Restoring Wisconsin begins with you. Join our cause today!
